Chris Brown 'Tribute To Team Breezy' F.A.M.E. Secret Listening Session Series - Day 4

Jason Kempin

R&B singer, #ChrisBrown recently released his highly anticipated album called #Indigo last week. The singer collaborated with #LilWayne and #JoynerLucas for a song called #NeedAStack where he mentions something that his biggest fan base is a little concerned with.

The lyrics state “I’ll leave a paper trail, then I’ma need a tip drill — Shaking it, turn the lights down — Bust it for the light bill — Diggit it, then I’m lickin all on that p****– put it right there — only wanna f*** the black bi***** with the nice hair” Nice hair? What does that mean?

Many black females took to social media to blast #Chris, calling him “racist” and a “colorist”. Majority of Chris Brown’s most loyal fans are young, black females. We’ve watched Chris soar to new heights, winning Grammy awards and supporting him through his trials in the past. One twitter user stated “I’m a Chris Brown fan but hearing that while listening to his new album I’m disappointed. Where did he even think saying something like that is okay? How can this even be interpreted”?

Although this may seem offensive, everyone has a type and preference. Chris Brown really said he loves black women, with good hair. Hopefully, this all unfolds in everyone’s favor and fans can continue to enjoy his new album.
