Ever wondered what it’s like to be a First Lady? #Showtime is giving us a first-person look at some “First Ladies” in a new drama series!
The cable network is developing a one hour series from #ViolaDavis JuVee Productions that would star the Oscar winning actress playing the former first lady #MichelleObama. Viola spoke with CNN to reveal some secret details about the upcoming show.
Author Aaron Cooley is on board as an executive producer and writer. If Showtime picks up the series, #FirstLadies will reveal the inside scoop on the personal and political lives of our most enigmatic heroes. First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt, Betty Ford and Michelle Obama will start the series in the first season.
The logline reads “In the East Wing of the White House, many of history’s most impactful and world changing decisions have been hidden from view, made by America’s charismatic, complex and dynamic First Ladies”. #Lionsgate is said to co-produce along with Showtime for the new series.
Viola Davis is also known to be on #HowToGetAwayWithMurder for the sixth and final season on ABC. We are so excited to see the stories of our First Ladies and hope this will be an inspiration to the young women in our country striving to be their best.
