Goal: This teen expo will be the largest event targeting teens and young adults ages 14 – 21 in the triangle area.    The ultimate goal will be to provide this audience with an outlet where they can obtain information on things such as staying in school, obtaining scholarships, picking the right school, moving away from home, maintaining positive self esteem and more. For current college students, there will be seminars on learning how to obtain a job after graduation, keeping finances in order and more.  There will open forum seminars hosted by Terrence J of BET 106 & Park, Brian Dawson and The Russ Parr Morning Show. There will also be college representatives, job recruiters and retailers present.  The day will conclude with a concert series brought to you by Russ Parr.

Steps for Success: What you need to know now to prepare for later. Whether you own or what to own your own business want to be a doctor, radio personality or a teacher talk to some of the most influential people. They will give you advice about the things you need to know to propel you towards success.

Panelists Include: Terrence J of BET 106 & Park, Karen Clark, local producer of The Tom Joyner Morning Show and one of the nations’ top wedding planners, community leaders and more

Sports & My Future: Talk to professional athletes one on one. They will provide advice to high school and college students as they prepare for a career in the sports world.

2:30 pm – 3:15 pm

Entering the Workforce: Get prepared to find the right job after college. Learn how to write great resumes & cover letters and get interview tips.

How to help Your Child Pay for College: It’s never too early to start saving for college. Financial options and tips for parents preparing to send their children to college.

Leaving the Nest: Transitioning from High School to College: Preparing for college can be a daunting task. Everything from college applications to dorm living can be an overwhelming. Let our experts help you with all of your questions and provide you with do’s and don’ts to make this a fun and easy step.

Real Talk:  An open discussion with panelists and the audience about relationships, online drama and maintaining a positive image at school.
