Raleigh Ranks Among Nation’s Most Desirable Cities

North Carolina has been named one of the most desirable states to live in, with Raleigh, Charlotte, and Winston-Salem ranking among the top cities nationwide, according to a new report from real estate website Clever.
The report highlights Charlotte as the No. 1 “most underrated city” and the No. 2 “friendliest city” in the country, while Raleigh ranks No. 4 among underrated cities and No. 6 for friendliness.
Charlotte also secured the No. 7 spot for the “prettiest cities.” Winston-Salem was recognized as the No. 6 “most desirable” mid-sized city.
The rankings are based on an online survey of 1,000 U.S. adults conducted from June 14 to 16, along with U.S. Census migration data to assess which areas Americans are moving to and from.
