Despite serving a 10-year sentence for the 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion, Tory Lanez has found a wave of public support from several high-profile celebrities — even as he recovers from being stabbed 14 times behind bars.

The Canadian artist’s legal team recently held a press conference claiming they’ve uncovered new evidence that could exonerate him, including an alleged confession from Kelsey Harris, Megan’s former best friend, relayed by a bodyguard. However, Megan’s legal team maintains that no new information has emerged — just recycled evidence already dismissed in court.

Still, the press conference sparked a Change.org petition urging California Governor Gavin Newsom to pardon Lanez — and celebrities are taking sides.

While artists like GloRilla and SZA have doubled down on their support for Megan, others are aligning with Lanez. Amber Rose, in a recent interview, said she believes Lanez deserves another look. Others who have also publicly co-signed Lanez’s push for release include:

  • Drake
  • Kodak Black
  • Ye
  • Chris Brown
  • Ty Dolla $ign
  • A Boogie
  • Trippie Redd
  • Gillie
  • Joyner Lucas
  • Popcaan
  • and Nicci Gilbert.

The Tory-Meg incident has created an undeniable divide within the Hip-Hop community.
