A federal judge has upheld a lawsuit alleging claims of malicious prosecution, defamation and invasion of privacy against Baltimore State's Attorney Marilyn J. Mosby brought by five of the six officers who were acquitted and relieved of charges in the death of Freddie Gray in 2015.

On April 12, 2015, Gray, 25, was arrested and died a week later from complications relating to a spinal cord injury after riding in the back of a police van.
