SHOWTIME SAYS…

Raleigh City Council members voted two weeks ago to put an end to those traffic cameras that have caught red light runners all over the triangle. Well earlier today the council made a decision to reverse the vote and bring the cameras back.

The council members voted to renew the city’s contract with ACS Xerox who provides the cameras at intersections across the city. The city decided not to renew the contract with the company after last Friday. After meeting with engineers and representatives from the company the council decided that it would be best if the cameras were reinstated.

The cameras are expected to be back in effect within a few weeks.
