According to aTMZ breaking news report, Lauren Hill is now a free woman after serving a three month sentence for tax evasion at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury,Connecticut. She failed to pay taxes for over two years of income, totaling over $2 million.
To mark the occasion, Hill dropped a new single, “Consumerism”, hours before her release from prison. The hiphop/r&b songstress published a blog post on Tumblr 5 months ago to confirm her deal with Sony WorldWide Entertainment and to assure fans that new music would soon be on its way.
Well, it looks like she’s making good on that promise and we couldn’t be more excited.
