When Beyoncé unexpectedly dropped her self-titled fifth studio album on iTunes Friday morning, many were left wondering what her first singles would be. Typically, Beyoncé and many other artists will send different singles to Top 40 and Urban radio – such is the case here.
According to sources over at Billboard, there will be a release of dual singles: “Drunk In Love” featuring Jay-Z will be serviced to Urban radio, while the Pharrell-produced “Blow” will be sent to pop radio. Also, in 2014, the love ballad “XO” will be the second Top 40 single.
