Kanye West auditioned for American Idol in San Francisco back in October of last year. The Fox show released a few clips from the rapper’s audition for their new season, but the full audition video surfaced today.
Check out the video as Mr. West performs an acapella version of his hit single “Gold Digger” for judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban, and Harry Connick Jr. West starts his audition off by saying “I always wanted to rap but nobody believed in me,” he jokes, adding, “I just wanted to do something original. It has one of the judges names in it.”
