The death of mixed martial arts fighter Kimbo Slice shook up many people on social media last night. At the time of his death many people did not know the circumstances or cause of death.
Details about Kimbo’s death have been released and apparently he died while doctors were preparing him for a heart transplant. Kimbo was diagnosed with a liver mass and congestive heart failure and also placed on a ventilator in a Florida intensive care unit. He was admitted to the hospital last week due to severe abdominal pain, shortness or breath, and nausea.
Kimbo was pronounced dead on Monday night around 7:30pm as hospital staff was preparing to transport him to another facility. Hospital documents showed no history of illicit drugs or any signs of foul play in Kimbo’s death.
