Its been a little over a week since rapper Kanye West suffered a “nervous breakdown” and was admitted into a California hospital for a psychiatric evaluation. TMZ is reporting that the Ye’s mental issues were sparked by the anniversary of his mother’s death.
The trigger for the breakdown was Donda’s death back in November 2007. Her funeral was November 20 — the same day he cancelled his show at the L.A. Forum. The following day — November 21 — Kanye cancelled the remainder of the tour and hours later suffered the breakdown.
The source also said that Ye had trouble handling stress recently and about a week or so before his breakdown things really began to unravel. After being admitted to UCLA doctors have kept a close watch over him.
