After receiving major backlash from folks on social media PepsiCo has apologized and pulled a controversial commercial featuring Kendall Jenner. Many people felt that the ad made a spectacle out of protests that have been happening around the country to combat injustice and inequality in places like Ferguson, Baltimore, and Washington DC.
The company released a statement saying “Clearly we missed the mark, and we apologize. We did not intend to make light of any serious issue. We are removing the content and halting any further rollout.”
