When Grammy nominations came out earlier this week, there were two female rappers who received much-deserved nominations — Cardi B, and NC’s own Rapsody. Rapsody’s Roc Nation debut, Laila’s Wisdom, has been critically-acclaimed, and was nominated for Best Rap Album, and for her single, “Sassy.”
In a show of female rap unity, Cardi B praised Rapsody’s music on Twitter, after having recently been put on:
“My road manager put me on to some Rapsody last night and i really really like it !!!!💪🏾👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽 It hit the Bardi in me!!”
The talented, and always humble Rapsody replied:
“Mad love, sis! I appreciate you and celebrate you! Love your glow!”
