Early Wednesday morning a 53-year-old Social Studies teacher, named Randal Davidson, locked himself in a class room and proceeded to fire shots outside the window. The teacher is said to have refused students access to the classroom which is when the principal was notified about the situation. Once the principal arrived and tried to open the door the teacher began to fire a round of bullets.
In response, the school immediately went on lock down and after 45 mins the police were able to apprehend the social studies teacher. It’s been reported that no one was hurt, thankfully, but this brings up a major discussion. Especially with talks of arming teachers with weapons as a way to protect students. However, as Davidson so clearly displayed, anyone in any profession can have a crazy moment.
