More trouble is brewing for R. Kelly. The singer has just been charges with sex crimes in Minnesota. Kelly is now being accused of engaging in prostitution with a person under 18. Prosecutors in Hennepin County announced the charges early on Monday. The incident allegedly took place in July 2001 when the victim allegedly “was attempting to obtain an autograph at City Center in Minneapolis, which Kelly gave to her along with a phone number.” She then was directed to go to his hotel where a member of Kelly’s staff ushered her upstairs to his hotel room.

Allegedly, the girl was offered $200 to take off her clothes and dance for him. The district attorney’s office says that she accepted the offer, got naked, and proceeded to dance and there was some sexual contact that occurred during the incident.

Kelly is currently being held in a New York jail cell for other sex crimes that he has pleaded not guilty for.
