The owners of the social networking site Facebook have decided to take a stance against cyberbullying. Cyberbullying seems to be a big problem facing today’s youth, and the leader in social networking has decided to make an effort to put an end to it.

There is a new web app that is being introduced by Safetyweb.com through Facebook. The ‘Find Help‘ app allows teens to report acts of harassment to Facebook as well as connect with organizations who offer safety and crisis intervention.

“Every day we see stories about teens who needed a helping hand online and didn’t know where to turn,” said Hemanshu Nigam founder and CEO of SSP Blue, also a SafetyWeb advisor. “I commend Safety Web for providing a simple and easy one stop solution to assist in a teen’s moment of crisis.”

Individuals who use this app can be put in contact with organizations like the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children’s CyberTipline, the National Suicide Prevention Hotline and Facebook’s Abuse Reporting process.
