Dr. Dre took everyone back to the ‘90s and early ‘00s at his pre-Grammy party to celebrate the launch of Beats Music’s new online streaming service. Held at Los Angeles’ Belasco Theater last night, the event featured several performances by big-name rappers, including a killer show by Diddy and his former protege Ma$e.
The Bad Boy rappers reunited on stage with hits like “Been Around the World,” “All About the Benjamins” and “‘Mo Money, ‘Mo Problems.” Other performers included Ice Cube (“It Was a Good Day’), Busta Rhymes (‘Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See’), Bone Thugs-N-Harmony (‘Thuggish Ruggish Bone’), Nas (‘If I Ruled the World’) and Cypress Hill (‘Insane in the Brain’).
Of course, it wouldn’t be Dr. Dre’s party if he didn’t shut down the stage. He took to the state with Blackstreet to perform “No Diggity” and Eminem for a medley of their hits including, “My Name Is,” “Lose Yourself” and “Forgot About Dre.”
According to Billboard, the venue reached over-capacity around 11 p.m. Other famous faces in attendance included Drake, Queen Latifah, Macklemore, DJ Jazzy Jeff and Pink.
