Shonda Rhimes is responsible for some of televisions most popular scripted series, which include “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Scandal,” and “How To Get Away With Murder.”

Now Rhimes will be taking her talents to another platform.

According to Variety, Netflix has signed Rhimes to a multi-year production deal. She will start producing new series for Netflix, while she fulfills the remainder of her deal with ABC.

The deal with Netflix has reportedly been in the works for months, as Rhimes’ existing deal with ABC has been set to expire in June of 2018. Nonetheless, the network has thanked Rhimes for her all of her contributions and reassured fans that the “TGIT” line up would still continue.

Ted Sarandos, the chief content officer of Netflix, said in a statement, “Shonda Rhimes is one of the greatest storytellers in the history of television.
