Seems like not everyone was happy with the nominations for the 2018 Grammy Awards. Q-Tip posted a video, slamming the awards for not nominating A Tribe Called Quest for the last project they released. In the video he says “I’m sick of ya’ll f**king Grammy n**gas,” and calls out 9th Wonder for answers, He says that 9th Wonder invited him out to vote for the Rap category, but he wasn’t able to make it. He also comes for everyone who was celebrating the fact that no white male solo artist was nominated for “Album of the Year” for the first time in history. He says he feels like A tribe Called Quest was the blackest group an they weren’t nominated.
Tip also reminded us that A Tribe Called Quest performed at last year’s award ceremony, so he feels its messed up for them to ignore the group when choosing nominees.With the death of Phife Dawg, the group announced that The Low End Theory would be the final project released by the group, so it would have been nice to see them get recognized.
