Do you remember the classic movie, ‘Boomerang’? Well BET has announced that they are turning the classic 1992 movie into a TV series. The show will follow Marcus, Angela and Jacqueline’s kids. Lena Waithe, who made history as the first Black woman to win an Emmy Award for comedy writing, will co-write the pilot episode.
Waithe says that ‘“This is less of a reboot and more of a continuation of the original story.” That sounds good. Plus Halle Berry is also an executive producer of the show. The show won’t air until early 2019. What would be great is if, Halle Berry, Eddie Murphy and Robin Givens pop up somewhere. Ooooh!
