A recent poll of North Carolina voters shows that President Barack Obama is competitive in the Tobacco State.

According to the poll former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney holds a 1 percent lead over the President. The 46-45 percent margin is within the margin of error and is the opposite of last month’s poll that showed Obama in the lead.

The President also has a Forty-five percent approval rating in North Carolina right now.

Obama’s numbers are looking good in other states such as Iowa, Wisconsin, Ohio, and Nevada which are alll states that he won in 2008. Experts believe that North Carolina will be an important state for Obama if he is going to win a second term in office.
