SHOWTIME SAYS…
Earlier today reps from Smithfield Foods announced that they will be hadding over 300 jobs to it’s Kinston meat processing plant.
$85.5 million will be invested into the company over the next three years. .
The state of North Carolina will give the company $700,000 from the One North Carolina Fund.
Currently there are 12,000 people in the state who are employed by Smithfield.
The average salary for new workers is expected to be $27,644.
