Police in Palmetto, Georgia have issued a warrant for 34-year-old Ebony Daniel and her 22-year-old boyfriend Charlie Martin after Daniel’s 13-month-old grandson was taken to a hospital for cocaine ingestion.

The baby’s mother who is 17-years-old brought her son to Piedmont Newman Hospital Saturday night when she realized that he was sick.

Hospital employees notified the police once it was confirmed that the child had cocaine in his system.

According to the daughter the child was in the care of Daniel and Martin when he found the drugs on a table.

Cops charged Daniel and Martin with possession of cocaine, cruelty to children, and reckless conduct. No charges have been filed against the child’s mother, but police are not sure of how she is involved in the situation.

The little boy was released from the hospital a few hours later.

So, I guess the days of going to grandma’s house to get candy bars  are gone…Now you go to your grandma’s house to get nose candy… All I can do is just SMH at these people. Everyone involved in this situation should be held responsible.  It is almost impossible for me to believe that the child’s mother was unaware that there was drug use going on in that home. But, she is a minor you would THINK that the grandmother would be smart enough to know that if there is a one-year-old child anywhere in your house you might want to take a minute and put your cocaine away…Just a thought, but hey what do I know?!?!?
