In a press conference early Tuesday, Malaysia Airlines CEO defended the use of text messaging to deliver the horrific news, “we do not know why, we do not know how this terrible tragedy happened” says CEO Ahmad Jauhari Yahya. He said the arilines would pay $5,000 to each passenger’s next of kin, plus additional money as the search continues. Our prayers continue to be with the families of the victims.
