Rapper, Tyga, was just served with legal papers during his sneaker launch on Tuesday night. Awkwardly enough, the man responsible for serving the papers waited until AFTER he purchased two pair of his own.

Tyga was unveiling his new L.A. Gear sneakers at Shiekh Shoes in Hollywood when he was completely caught off guard by what appeared to be a fan.

The man stood in line for over two hours to purchase the sneakers, worth $120. He had the “Fan Of A Fan” artist autograph both pair just before he handed him the court documents.

Tyga, 25, managed to keep it professional as he still posed for a photo with the unnamed process server.

Some reports say the real reason he was served may be due to his upcoming trial over accusations of copyright infringement.

Graphic artist Glennon Marrero sued Tyga, stating that Tyga stole his pharaoh design and used it on his “Last Kings” line of hats and T-Shirts without consent. When confronted about the situation, Tyga refused to offer compensation for using the alleged stolen artwork.

Tyga later counter-sued Marrero, claiming that the two came to a mutual agreement in which Marrero would receive a 25 percent stake in the company for his design contributions. According to Tyga, Marrero ceased all contact shortly after this agreement.

Marrero is demanding all profits made from the “Last Kings” line, including logo and legal fees.

The trial date is set for June 9 in L.A. Superior Court.

What are your thoughts on the server’s delivery of the court documents? If Tyga is guilty of copyright infringement, should he have to forego all profits made?
