A mother from Arkansas was murdered by her boyfriend just hours after posting a photo on Snapchat with the suspect pointing a gun at her head.

Stephanie Hernandez, 21, posted a few selfies on the popular photo app on Sunday. One selfie showed Hernandez and her boyfriend, Rafael Gonzalez, with the caption, “Strap Chat” as he pointed the gun towards her head, KATV reports. Another photo showed the couple smirking while Gonzalez aimed the gun at the camera.

On Sunday evening, police were called to Hernandez’s home, where they found the mother of two dead. The couple was said to be living together for just three weeks before the shooting occurred.

Jaquinlan Davis, a friend of the victim, said she spent time with Hernandez just 24 hours before she was killed.

KATV reports:

“The place is ransacked. There is blood all over the floor. It’s clothes everywhere. Like someone wanted to just pack up and get out,” Davis said. “I really can’t believe it is true! I was just here with her yesterday! I hadn’t seen her in about 2 months. At least 2 months.”

Gonzalez, 20, was arrested on Monday and charged with murder. Friends told reporters they were surprised to see the mother in the disturbing photos with Gonzalez, but they were aware he was a bad influence on her.

“I knew his history and everything, and I knew he was a bad influence. I wanted to tell her. I wanted her to come with me actually when I left,” Davis said. “She bought him a pack of four or five bullet shells, and just by that, I didn’t feel right.”

Gonzalez is currently being held without bond.
