Earlier this year it was confirmed that there would be a spin-off of ABC’s hit show “Black-ish”, starring #YaraShahidi. It was announced that show would appear on Freeform, and was titled “College-ish.”
With the series drawing closer the show now has a new name. According to Entertainment Weekly, the series will now be called “Grown-ish,” opposed to its previous title.
Creator Kenya Barris talked about the shows new name in a statement, she said, “Grown-ish reflects what we’ll be dealing with in the show — that in-between place where you’re not quite an adult but facing grown world problems for the first time. Where Black-ish examines what it means to be black, Grown-ish is an examination of what it means to becoming an adult.
