Earlier today A Chapel Hill man was arrested when he attempted to kidnap a woman in broad daylight. The incident took place at the intersection of Rosemary and Columbia streets in Chapel Hill.

WRAL is reporting that Theodore James Walker tried to abduct a 19-year-old woman around 2 p.m.  He’s charged with second-degree kidnapping, assault on a female and assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.

Here’s what I’ve managed to piece together:

1. Two men were driving by and saw Walker dragging a woman to a car in the parking lot behind the RBC Bank

2. The 2 men pulled into the parking lot to help out

3. The lady then managed to get away unharmed as Walker drove off

4. But as Walker drove away, he hit one of the “2 men” with his car

Walker was being held Wednesday in the Orange County jail under a $500,000 bond
