A man from Franklin County who was profiled on “America’s Most Wanted has been arrested in Mississippi.
Nathan Randall Pettigrew was arrested Tuesday by Ocean Springs, MS police during a traffic stop. The man was living under the aias Jason Kirkwood.
The man is wanted in Youngsville for rape and indecent liberties with a minor and also wanted in Raleigh for kidnapping, larceny, assault with a deadly weapon and other charges.
In July 2005 Pettigrew was accused of sexually assaulting a 15 year old girl. Four months after the assault, Raleigh police say that he pulled a knife on his ex girlfriend and made her drive at knifepoint. The woman escaped and ran into a store on Peace Street and called police.
He is now awaiting extradtion to Raleigh in the Ocean Springs Municipal Jail.
