N.C. Central University has approved a 10 percent hike in tuition for in state undergraduates for next year plus an additional increase of $100 per student each year. The tuition increase comes after state mandated budget cuts earlier this year.
In state undergraduates will pay $292 more and graduate students will pay an additional $342 if the plan is approved
NCCU undergraduates from North Carolina would pay $292 more next year, and graduate students would pay an additional $342 under the plan.
Students of the university can expect the $2.4 million generated by the increase to contribute to expanded courses, and other services that are needed. The extra $100 fee will give the university an additional $782,000 annually.
Also, the university will raise the annual fees for dining, housing, athletics, and other activities by about 6 percent.
