A superior court judge this morning quickly rebuffed Durham District Attorney Tracey Cline’s latest attempt to remove Judge Orlando Hudson from hearing criminal cases in the district where he is the senior judge.
Judge Henry Hight Jr. did not allow Cline or other attorneys to make arguments. In a seven-minute hearing, Hight read into the record the history of the case and then dismissed Cline’s motion.
Based on Cline’s filings, Hight said, she “failed to provide the factual basis to prove” that Hudson should be removed.
