 After hearing about the debt his hometown was in 9-year-old Joshua Smith wanted to do his part to help. He convinced his parents to spend $100 so he could set up a lemonade snack stand to make some money and that he did. After garnering national attention on his project he raised $3000 in less than a week. In honor of his achievement, the city council rewarded smith with an award for outstanding achievement. He also received a $2,000 college scholarship from the Rosa L. Parks Scholarship Foundation. Check out the story here…..
