What is there to say about Chief Keef that hasn’t been said already? But in case you don’t follow the artist, you might not have known a few of these facts that has kept people talking.
1. Chief Keef is not old enough to buy cigarettes or lottery tickets.
Later this year, the rapper will finally turn 18. And he has done so many things that most adults don’t go through before he is legally an adult. Just check the next point to get a better idea of what we’re talking about.
2. He was arrested and sentenced to home confinement.
When he was 15, he was arrested for manufacturing and delivering heroin. Then later in the year, he left his grandmother’s home and was walking on the street with a coat covering his arm. He was stopped by the police, so he dropped his coat and flashed a gun at the police. He was caught a few blocks later and placed back on house arrest for aggravated assault with a firearm on a police officer and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.
3. He clings to controversy.
Back in September 2012, fellow Chicago rapper Lil’ Jojo was murdered, and Chief Keef took to Twitter to express his opinion. He laughed at the death, and he was accused of being involved in the murder. Keef claimed he was hacked. (Of course.) He then went on to give his condolences to Jojo’s family.
4. He left 50 Cent hanging.
Chief Keef was a no-show for a video he was supposed to be in with 50 Cent and Wiz Khalifa for their song, ” Hate Being Sober.” 50 took to his own Twitter account about the issue. He went as far to say that because of his shenanigans he might get dropped from Interscope.
5. No more house arrest.
As of Tuesday, Chief Keef was sentenced to a juvenile detention center. There is such a thing as too much exposure, and because he violated his probation (because of moments #1 and 2) to appear in a video, the judge sent him to juvie for two months.
