Volunteers are needed for the Carrboro Music Fest on Sunday, September 29. Shifts are from 12:00 p.m. – 3:00p.m; 3:00p.m. – 6:00p.m.; and 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. (the coveted cleanup shift). This FREE event features local musicians who perform in venues around town, which generates hundreds of drink bottles. Volunteering at this event is a great way to help Carrboro keep it clean!
Festifall on Sunday, October 6, has recycling volunteer shifts from 10:30 a.m. -2:30 p.m.; 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. and; 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Festifall is the Chapel Hill festival of Music and Art. This year there will be “extreme waste diversion” of compositing as well as recycling, but The Town can’t do it alone! Volunteers are needed to help to get Chapel Hill closer to being trash free.
Both events are eligible for service learning hours for high school and college students, and all volunteers will receive a free event T-shirt.
