Many cities across the United States showed off their patriotism by celebrating America’s Independence.

But when you think of the most patriotic city, which one comes to mind? Maybe Washington, D.C. or even New York? Well if you guessed those cities, you would be wrong.

According USA TODAY, the popular app Foursquare has created a formula to figure out the answer. According to the app, Knoxville, Tennessee is the most patriotic city, followed by Oklahoma City, and then our very own Raleigh, North Carolina.

But the City of Oaks wasn’t the only city in our state to crack the top ten most patriotic cities list; Charlotte also made the list at number nine.
