The Panther news happened early this morning, after The Athletic dropped the latest bombshell report, digging deeper into the dysfunction that exists under Dave Tepper's ownership. The Panthers are currently 1-11, the worst record in the NFL, and without a first-round draft pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the outlook is bleak in terms of Carolina competing in the NFC South anytime soon. Factor in the team announcing earlier today that training camp won't be held at Wofford next season, just adding to the bad feeling that currently exists not only on the team, but throughout a fanbase that is growing tired, and more impatient by the day.

The NBA season is more than a month and a half old, and unless something changes, the Hornets won't be playing meaningful basketball after the Christmas holiday. Charlotte has been hampered by injuries, as Terry Rozier missed roughly three weeks of action early in the season, and now LaMelo Ball is sidelined for the foreseeable future with an ankle injury. Of course, those injuries coincide with Cody Martin's injury, which has had him sidelined since early last season. And while the injuries are very much real, head coach Steve Clifford isn't letting his team get away with that as an excuse, despite his team struggling to compete defensively consistently.

In the first game following the firing of Frank Reich, the Panthers fell on the road to the Buccaneers 21-18 and now Carolina is officially eliminated from playoff contention. Steve Smith Sr. joined Kyle Bailey to break down what he saw in the Panthers defeat. One of Steve’s main talking points from yesterday’s game surrounded […]

Nearly four months after a scary collapse, Bronny James is finally ready to return to the court. According to ESPN, the newly minted USC freshman will have a final evaluation by the university’s staff this week, and if all goes well, he’ll soon be ready to return to games. The James Gang released a statement […]

Following the firing of Frank Reich the day before, Panthers owner David Tepper spoke with the media on Wednesday to discuss the move. In a fourteen minute presser, Tepper answered just eight questions before walking off, leaving a room full of reporter baffled and heated. The fifth year owner spent the majority of the presser […]

Terry Rozier scored 10 of the last 12 points for the Charlotte Hornets as they end their two-game losing skid with a 129-128 win over the Brooklyn Nets Thursday night. The ten points came in the final 3:34 of the game, as the Hornets hit a season high for points, and Rozier hit his personal […]

The Panthers fired head coach Frank Reich on Monday after the team dropped to 1-10 the day after in a loss on the road to the Tennessee Titans and had owner David Tepper yelling an obscenity on the way out of the locker room. That seems to have been the sign that the move was […]

The Dallas Mavericks are 11-6 on the season, and the criticisms about them being mid have already begun. Going into Tuesday’s in-season tournament game against the Houston Rockets, the Mavs had lost 3 of their last four games. They barely eked out a 121-115 win against the Rockets –mostly thanks to Luka Doncic’s 41-point performance– […]

Dave Tepper's press conference hasn't only been the talk here locally in Charlotte, but also the talk of the NFL, as virtually every analyst has something to say after the Panthers owner fired Frank Reich on Monday, and delivered a half-hearted press conference yesterday. Scott Fowler made headlines yesterday, after he publicly voiced his displeasure with Tepper ignoring him during the press conference, after Fowler wrote an article, stating that Tepper needs to fire himself as the owner. Another reporter, who hasn't been shy from asking Tepper the tough questions, or writing opinionated articles about Tepper, Joe Person, was on hand and started the press conference by asking if Tepper needs to re-evaluate himself, after making another hiring mistake. As Tepper was walking off the stage, Person tried to ask him about the job security of Panthers GM Scott Fitterer, to which he received no answer.

The Charlotte Hornets dropped to 0-3 head-to-head this season against the New York Knicks, losing their final game in East Group B of the NBA In-Season Tournament, 115-91, on Tuesday night. Charlotte lost for the first time since finding out LaMelo Ball will miss extended time with an ankle strain suffered Sunday night against the […]

Scott Fowler has covered the Charlotte sports scene, for nearly thirty years, at the Charlotte Observer, so he knows what it's like to report on a coach getting fired, and an organization having to go through the rebuild. Especially since David Tepper became the owner of the Panthers, and brought Charlotte FC to town, as Tepper, has now fired 5 coaches between the two franchises, after firing Frank Reich on Monday. With such dysfunction, Fowler wrote a column on Monday, stating the obvious, saying nothing would change until Reich fired himself.

Almost 10 months ago, Frank Reich was introduced as Head Coach of the Carolina Panthers. Fast-forward to late November and Frank Reich is fired after a 1-10 start in Carolina. To break down the firing of Frank Reich and what happens next with Kyle Bailey is Joe Person of The Athletic. When it comes to […]
